Day 28 - Sat - 11/29/2025 - At Sea to Port Canaveral - Day 2

The end of our cruise was finally here.  It's our last day at sea before reaching Port Canaveral.  This port is a new one for us.  As is normal for us, we let the light peering through our window wake us up.  We ate our normal breakfast and then attended William Kramer's final space enrichment talk in the Princess Theater.  His topic was Colors in Space, and it was a really good presentation. After a quick lunch we secured seats for the Voice of the Ocean final show in the Princess Theater.

It turned out that at least 3 of the singers in the finals of the Voice of the Ocean were professional singers.  One was a world renowned opera singer and voice teacher/coach, another was a singer with his own band, and a third was a music technician of some type.  The opera singer won it handily with over 60% of the vote.  Most of the audience were unaware of the singers' credentials.  For us, it's sort of a disappointment that the competition is not among true novice singers.

Afterwards we stopped by the Princess Live venue and watched the taping of the Wake Show with the Cruise Director, Matt.  When the taping was completed, we were able to say our goodbyes to him and leave him with one more riddle.  The riddle was: Why do clouds hate the sun?  They are afraid it will steal their thunder.

We then returned to our stateroom to pack up.  We'll self disembark which means that we'll pack our own luggage off of the ship and not have to put luggage out at night in the hallway and then pick it up in the terminal tomorrow morning.

We enjoyed our last dinner onboard in the Lido World Marketplace.with our friends, Gary & JoAnn.  Afterwards we secured second row seats in the Princess Theater and enjoyed a performance by Legacy, a 3 person trio who sang mainly Motown songs.  Immediately following their performance,, there was a trivia in Princess live featuring a Murder Mystery acted out by the Activity Staff.  It was really funny and the trivia song answers were sprinkled throughout the skit.

And just like normal, we attended the final Late Karaoke session where all of the regulars sang a final song.  The session ended with a group of the regulars in a final group song along with Matt, the assistant cruise director.

It's been a nice cruise.  It was especially nice to have friends along on the cruise.  Now we can start dreaming about the next one. . .
